Sierra Pacific Foundation Scholarship

Sierra Pacific Industries offers this scholarship to dependent children of full-time employees of Sierra Pacific.  Award are given annually. Students awarded must reapply each year to be reconsidered for a scholarship. Must attend an accredited college, university or trade school. Applications are available online at beginning December 15th.  Deadline is the last Friday in February.

Chico Chamber Business & Young Professional Advancement Scholarship

The Chico Chamber of Commerce Education Committee in coordination with the Chico Young Professionals Organization are awarding scholarships to Northern California students pursuing careers in Butte County. Scholarship amounts and number of recipients will vary each year.  The Chico Chamber of Commerce will award approximately one to four scholarships in amounts ranging from $250 to $1000. Students who seek a diploma, associates, bachelors, or masters degree in Business or a related subject from an educational institution in Butte County are eligible to apply for this scholarship. Current involvement in the Chico Chamber of Commerce is preferred. Applicants must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher. Applications and more information may be found at

Chico Unified Teachers Association (CUTA) - CUSD Graduating Seniors

The CUTA "At Large" scholarships are available to any graduating senior in the Chico Unified School District, including dependents of CUTA members.  Your financial information is part of the criteria considered for selection of this scholarship.  Your application is confidential and only members of the selection committee will see this information. You will be placed in one of five categories:  great need, considerable need, moderate need, some need, little of or no need.  If no financial info is provided, you will be placed in the"little or no need" category.
Scholarship applications can be returned to the school’s respective counseling office by March 15, 2019 by 5:00 p.m. Click on this link for the application:

Chico Unified Teachers Association (CUTA) - Dependents of CUTA Members

Dependents of CUTA Members.  Any graduating high school senior whose parent(s) is currently an active member of CUTA is eligible to apply for a Dependent Scholarship.  It is not necessary that the recipient be graduating from a CUSD high school.

Recipents are selected by the CUTA Scholarship Committee. Completed applications for CUTA Dependent scholarships must be returned to the CUTA office by 5:00 p.m. on March 15, 2019  Applications not submitted to the CUTA office by that time and date cannot be considered for receipt of a scholarship.

California State University, Chico provides opportunities for scholarship awards to eligible students.  New and continuing students are encouraged to apply by submitting the online Wildcat Scholarship Applications.  Scholarships are based on any or all of the following criteria:
  • Educational and career objectives
  • Scholastic achievements
  • Financial need
  • Involvement in school or community service
  • Active affiliation with clubs and organizations
  • Special qualifications (talent, obstacles overcome, relationships)
The 2019-2020 scholarship application will open January 2, 2019  

California Wine Grape Growers Foundation

In 1999, the California Wine Grape Growers Foundation was created to continue the scholarship program begun by the California association of Winegrape Growers with the purpose of providing financial assistance to students who may not otherwise have the opportunity to pursue a higher education and to honor the hard work of the men and women who help produce the highest quality winegrapes. At least two four-year scholarships worth $8,000 each and four two-year scholarships worth $2,000 each will be awarded to qualifying students in 2018. Students may study the subject of their choice at any campus within the University of California system California State University system or California Community College system. Please apply at
