California Wine Grape Growers Foundation
In 1999, the California Wine Grape Growers Foundation was created to continue the scholarship program begun by the California association of Winegrape Growers with the purpose of providing financial assistance to students who may not otherwise have the opportunity to pursue a higher education and to honor the hard work of the men and women who help produce the highest quality winegrapes. At least two four-year scholarships worth $8,000 each and four two-year scholarships worth $2,000 each will be awarded to qualifying students in 2013. Chico Chamber Business & Professional Advancement Scholarship
In 2012 The Chico Chamber of Commerce Education Committee in coordination with the Chico Young Professionals Organization will begin annually awarding scholarships to Northern California students pursuing careers in Butte County. Scholarship amounts and number of recipients will vary each year, though the Chico Chamber of Commerce will award approximately one to four scholarships in amounts ranging from $250 to $1000. Students who seek a diploma, associates, bachelors, or masters degree in business or a related subject from an educational institution in Butte County are eligible to apply for this scholarship. American Mensa
American Mensa is awarding scholarships to students planning to attend college in fall 2013. The scholarships are awarded based solely on an essay of no more than 550 words in which you explain your career, academic or vocational goal and how you plan to achieve that goal.
