California Associations of Pest Control Advisors

The Norcal Chapter is offering a $1,000 scholarship to a graduating high school senior pursuing an agricultural degree in Plan/Soil Science.  Our CAPCA chapter is composed of Pest Control Adivsers (PCAs) in Butte, Glenn and Tehama Counties.  The chapter has offered this scholarship to the high schools in our area for a number of years.  Applications are due May 1, 2018.  Stop by the Counseling Office for applications.  

AES Engineers Scholarship

AES Engineers will be awarding $500 to the winner(s).  Students will submit an essay on one of the two topics that appear on the scholarship page of the web site This scholarship is NOT just for Engineering students.  DEADLINE OCT. 6, 2018

The Chico-Leland Stanford Masonic Lodge #111

The Chico-Leland Stanford Masonic Lodge #111 is awarding scholarship grants to graduating high school seniors from Chico or Durham High Schools who are planning to attend universities, colleges, community colleges, or vocational/technical training schools. This scholarship shall be awarded annually and may be renewed for a period not to exceed four years providing that the recipient remains in good standing at his or her school, college or university and meet all other scholarship conditions.
Each scholarship shall be for up to, but not exceed, $600.00 per year.  Recipients must maintain at least a 2.5 GPA for all courses taken.

Chico Women's Club

Chico Women's Club Arts Scholarship (Visual Arts, Music and Dance) is offering a grant in the amount of $800.00 to a young woman planning to attend Butte College.  Applications are in the Counseling Office and requires an essay of 200-300 words, which includes a personal anecdote from your life that gives us a glimpse of who you are.  Essays must be typed and attached to the application
Deadline is April 27, 2018  

BigSun Scholarship

The BigSun Organization is proud to be able to continue to help young athletes succeed in their academic pursuits.  

Please send us a short essay (500 - 1,000 words) answering the following questions:

  • How did your participation in sports during your high school years influence you?
  • Has your participation influenced your career goals?
  • Has your participation influenced how you relate to your family?

California Wine Grape Growers Foundation

In 1999, the California Wine Grape Growers Foundation was created to continue the scholarship program begun by the California association of Winegrape Growers with the purpose of providing financial assistance to students who may not otherwise have the opportunity to pursue a higher education and to honor the hard work of the men and women who help produce the highest quality winegrapes. At least two four-year scholarships worth $8,000 each and four two-year scholarships worth $2,000 each will be awarded to qualifying students in 2018. Students may study the subject of their choice at any campus within the University of California system California State University system or California Community College system. Please apply at

Soroptimist Violet Richardson Award

The Violet Richardson Award recognizes young women who make the community and world a better place through volunteer efforts such as fighting drugs, crime and violence, cleaning up the environment, and working to end discrimination and poverty. Volunteer actions that benefit women and girls are of particular interest.  Winning applicant will receive $500.00 and $500.00 will go to the organization where she volunteers.
  • 14-17 Years of Age
  • Demonstrates initiative in both identifying a problem and solving it
  • Has significant and noteworthy accomplishments as a volunteer
Complete the application form and include a typed essay of up to 750 words. Tell us where you volunteer and why. Describe the goals of the organization and its impact. What is your role? What have you accomplished as a volunteer?
Fee free to submit any supporting materials that you think we should see such as newspaper clippngs, photos, etc.

13th District PTA

District 13 PTA Graduating High School Senior Scholarship - This scholarship rewards high school seniors for volunteer service in the school and community.  Student must be a member of PTA/PTSA and have two letters of recommendation and an essay.  Applications are available in the counseling office. Deadline is March 29, 2018.  

Bridging the Gap for Breast Cancer Fund

This scholarship is available to graduating high school seniors who reside in Butte, Glenn, & Tehama Counties and have lost a parent or sibling to Breast Cancer or who currently have a parent or sibling in treatment for Breast Cancer.  The award is intended to be used during the traditional academic year, for academic purposes such as tuition, fees, and/or books and for students who plan to attend any accredited College, University or Trade School. .

CSEA Chico Chapter 110

CSEA Chico Chapter 110 is now accepting applications from graduating seniors whose parents are currently classified employees of Chico Unified School District. Applications are available in the counseling office.

Fraternal Order of Eagles Auxiliary #218

The Fraternal Order of Eagles Auxiliary #218 - Chico is offering a scholarship to a high school senior and requires two letters of reccomendation, a copy of your high school transcript and a statement of your financial need and future goals.  Application deadline is the morning of Friday, April 27, 2018. 
Applications are available in the counseling office. 

California State Retirees Chapter 14

2018 Scholarship Qualifications:
1. Be a relative of a present or retired State Employee.
2. Be a full time enrolled student; with a financial need.
3. Have an a good academic standing and provide a transcript
4. Write a one page summary of your life goals and be available to speak at a Chapter 14/Sub-Chapter meeting.

Butte County Farm Bureau



Qualifying graduating seniors must be living in or attending a school in Butte County, planning on majoring in Agriculture or closely related subject, have a cumulative 3.0 GPA or higher and submit an application and all required information to Butte County Farm Bureau by March 29th, 2018.  Application available online or stop by the Counseling Office for more information.  
Applications are due, in the Butte County Farm Bureau office, by Thursday, March 28th at 4:00 pm, and should be hand delivered or mailed.  (Postmarks will not be accepted)

California Women for Agriculture

The California Women for Agriculture North Valley Chapter is offering scholarships ranging from $250 to $1000 to student pursuing careers in agriculture.  Stop by the Counseling Office for an applications.  Applications must be postmarks by April 1, 2018

B. Davis Scholarship


This Scholarship is available to all high school juniors and seniors as well as all students currently registered in any post secondary institution.

  • This is not an academic scholarship but we would like to know where you are going to school now and what your future academic plans are.

    BCAA, the local charter of ACSA is proud to announce the availability of two student scholarships in the amount of $500 each to Butte County graduating seniors who want to pursue an educated-related career and has earned a cumulative high school GPA of 3.0 or higher.  Application information is available in the counseling office.  DEADLINE IS April 17, 2017  

    SERV - Students Earning Recognition as Volunteers

    The PTSA SERV Scholarship is available in the Counseling office./  You must be a member of PTSA and volunteer in the community.  You must write a brief statement describing what volunteering you have done and what it has meant to you.
