California Associations of Pest Control Advisors

The Norcal Chapter is offering a $1,000 scholarship to a graduating high school senior pursuing an agricultural degree in Plan/Soil Science.  Our CAPCA chapter is composed of Pest Control Adivsers (PCAs) in Butte, Glenn and Tehama Counties.  The chapter has offered this scholarship to the high schools in our area for a number of years.  Applications are due May 1, 2018.  Stop by the Counseling Office for applications.  

Northwest Lineman College Scholarship

The purpose of this Northwest Lineman College Scholarship is to provide an opportunity for a young person interested in a career in the power delivery industry to complete the Electrical Lineworker Program at Northwest Lineman College to a student who has gained admission to the ELP.  Applicant must be a graduating senior, submit a completed application packet. have a GPA of 3.0 or higher, submit a two page letter stating why they would like to pursue a career n linework and how this scholarship will help, and provide two reference letters from a school counselor, principal or teacher/coach.
 
Stop by the Counseling Office form an application.  Deadline is May 1st

AES Engineers Scholarship

AES Engineers will be awarding $500 to the winner(s).  Students will submit an essay on one of the two topics that appear on the scholarship page of the web site http://www.aesengineers.com/scholarships.htm This scholarship is NOT just for Engineering students.  DEADLINE OCT. 6, 2018

Pleasant Valley High School Sports Booster Club Scholarship

Pleasant Valley High School Sports Booster Club Scholarship
 
The Viking Boosters will award scholarships to outstanding graduating high school senior for the athletic, academic and leadership achievements as student athletes. 
 
Requirements:
  • Graduating PVHS Senior
  • Have played any varsity sport at PV or cheered for any varsity sport at PV
  • Not be receiving a full scholarship
  • Submit a list of athletic achievements
  • Submit a copy of college acceptance letter, if available
  • Submit transcipt
  • Submit an essay of not more than 500 words on how athletics has impacted the applicant
  • Submit two letters of recommendations

Chico Women's Club

Chico Women's Club Arts Scholarship (Visual Arts, Music and Dance) is offering a grant in the amount of $800.00 to a young woman planning to attend Butte College.  Applications are in the Counseling Office and requires an essay of 200-300 words, which includes a personal anecdote from your life that gives us a glimpse of who you are.  Essays must be typed and attached to the application
 
Deadline is April 27, 2018  

BigSun Scholarship

The BigSun Organization is proud to be able to continue to help young athletes succeed in their academic pursuits.  
 

Please send us a short essay (500 - 1,000 words) answering the following questions:

  • How did your participation in sports during your high school years influence you?
  • Has your participation influenced your career goals?

Fraternal Order of Eagles Auxiliary #218

The Fraternal Order of Eagles Auxiliary #218 - Chico is offering a scholarship to a high school senior and requires two letters of reccomendation, a copy of your high school transcript and a statement of your financial need and future goals.  Application deadline is the morning of Friday, April 27, 2018.

AWARD VALUE: $1,000


This Scholarship is available to all high school juniors and seniors as well as all students currently registered in any post secondary institution.

  • There is no age restriction
  • Be sure to include your name and the school you are attending this year and next
  • This is not an academic scholarship but we would like to know where you are going to school now and what your future academic plans are.

    Please do not send transcripts or letters of recommendation at this time.

    Butte County Administrators Association

    BCAA, the local charter of ACSA is proud to announce the availability of two student scholarships in the amount of $500 each to Butte County graduating seniors who want to pursue an educated-related career and has earned a cumulative high school GPA of 3.0 or higher. 
    • Submit a typed essay of not more than 200 words describing your plans for the future and why you’re considering a career in education.
    • Submit a resume describing your academic, volunteer, and work experiences as well as your career goals.
    • Submit transcripts of high school academic courses and grades.
    • Submit two [2] letters of recommendation from adults who can speak to your potential and to your accomplishments.  There must be at least one [1] from your school administrators.
