I have a passion for making music of all kinds come alive in the hearts and minds of my students. My objective is simple: to train people to make great music. My goal is to do this by guiding students to a place where their individual gifts and talents are fully realized.
With over twenty years teaching choral and instrumental music, and extensive experience in writing and arranging music and curriculum, I am able to provide a dynamic classroom environment that students look forward to daily. I also provide extra-curricular activities for students that wish to supplement their music education.

I have been doing theater since I was 14 years old. I started out as a runner - a small role behind the scenes. Nothing could have captivated me more - seeing actors on stage, smelling makeup and hairspray, colors and design of lights and set. It became my addiction and I haven't stopped. I graduated from CSU Chico with a degree in Theater Arts - technical/directing and also have a minor in Creative Writing - playwriting. In order to teach theater, I earned a secondary English credential in 1999 and have been at PVHS ever since. I believe that anyone and everyone has a place in theater - as actor, designer, director, or producer - and that theater can change the world.
