Monday, November 18
  • "The Sniper" Theme Paragraph Rough Draft Paragraphs due
  • Type papers into turnitin.com in the library (only those with rough drafts are eligible to do this)
  • Take HOLT handbooks (from class set) into the library to work on when you are finished...or you may read silently
  • Save papers to a flashdrive (if you have one) and/or email papers to yourself!
 Homework:
  • HOLT grammar packets will be due on Thursday (change in schedule!)
  • DLA/grammar test on Thursday as well (completed packets may be used on the test!)
Tuesday, November 19
  • Aow Folders
  • Return Veteran's Day AoW assignment
  • Peer grading/scoring rubric for AoW
  • 2 peers evaluate each assignment and provide written feedback and scoring
  • Evaluation of Plagiarism AoW (Rand Paul article)
  • Students who do not have an AoW turned in are not eligible for this assignment and can read quietly or work on grammar packets
  • Add both articles to DLA folder
  • Decorate DLA folders for easy identification - write names and class period on them!!
  • Keep folders in class!
Homework:
  • Same as Monday's...(hint:  look above at Monday's...)
Wednesday, November 20
  • 5 new root words (list #2) added to roots chart
  • AoW (in-class reading and writing)  - CONTINUE TO DO ACTIVITY #5 (5 sentence starters!!! + 2-3 additional reflective sentences for each!)
Homework:
  • HOLT grammar packets are due tomorrow - completed packets will be able to be used on the test!
  • DLA/grammar test tomorrow!
  • Bring SSR books tomorrow!
  • AoW due tomorrow!
Thursday, November 21
  • Grammar packets checked/stamped
  • 5 root words (the rest of list #2) to be added to roots chart
  • DLA test
  • SSR
Homework:
  • Don't worry about your roots journals.
  • You will be getting journals back on Friday (tomorrow)
  • They will be returned tomorrow along with a peer scoring/evaluation checklist.
  • Root word journals will be due on Monday:)

  • Roots journals returned
  • Peer scoring/evaluation checklist
  • item analysis (DLA test)
  • Work on  roots journals or read SSR book silently
Homework:
  • ONLY three weeks to turn in two one-pagers (book assignments-typed, MLA).  They are due by the last Friday before finals week! 
  • GET 'ER DONE!!!
