Make - up Mondays will be held each Monday after school from 2:50 - 4:00 pm.

  • If there is no school, please make a point to attend a L.A.W. session on the following Thursday during lunch (see below for details).  If I am scheduled for a meeting on a Monday after school, I will usually know ahead of time and can send REMIND messages to those who have enrolled in the service.  In that case, please attend a L.A.W. session the following Thursday as well.
L.A.W. (Lunch and Work) Sessions will be held on Thursdays

  • Each session is structured as a study hall environment where students can work on homework for any of their classes, or make up tests or quizzes for English class.  The only requirements are that students need to be working and they need to be aware of and respectful of the other students in the room who are working as well.  Loud, unfocused, or disrespectful students will be asked to leave and to try another day.   Students can bring lunches to class as long as they clean up after themselves.  I am available to help students with English assignments during this time.

EXCUSES (not a limited list)

"My printer doesn't work..."

"I don't have the internet at home..."

"My computer is broken..."

"I didn't know your email..."

"Can I just mail it to you later?"

"I sent you an email and it must not have gone through..."

SOLUTIONS (not a limited list)

  • It is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED that each student purchase a portable flash drive for the computer.  Every student has access to computers on campus.
  • Saving documents to a flash drive allows the student to plug in anywhere and to print the necessary assignments for class.
  • Assignments MUST be printed PRIOR to the beginning of class.  DO NOT EXPECT TO BE EXCUSED FROM CLASS TO PRINT AN ASSIGNMENT IN THE LIBRARY!
  • If a student does email an assignment to me, it MUST be ATTACHED as a MS WORD document. (See email etiquette powerpoint)
