Required:
1. Keep a notebook, neat and organized, with a divider for each class in which you keep your work.
2. Keep a Daily Assignment/Homework Planner in which you will record your in class assignments, homework, due dates, test dates, and long term assignments.
3. Complete the Weekly Grade Sheet, which is due on Fridays.
4. Progress Sheet filled out by teachers(s) for missing assignments as assigned.
5. A variety of study, research, and test-taking skills at the beginning of each class will be taught.
6. Periodically work on individualized reading, writing, and math skill needs
7. Time in class is used to study assignments, prepare for tests, and work on homework or other projects. If you don't have anything to work on, you are required to work on the followinga. Make flashcards, rewrite notes, be quizzed on material learned, write your own tests, etc.
b. Work on extra study skills assignments
c. Silent reading
8. Students should still study at home for at least one hour per night.
9. Students will work on assignments as directed by teacher.
Offered:
1. Teacher help with any subject (even after school or at lunch unless I have a meeting)
2. Extra time for tests from other classes, as arranged by you with your teacher. In most cases, test questions can be read and explained to you as needed for understanding the question.
3. Chromebooks are to be used for academic purposes during class time. Teachers will use Go Guardian to oversee the Chromebook usage. If student is on unapproved sites (during ANY class), he/she will be “kicked off” the site and will not be allowed to use electronics during Academic Support class.

Each student is expected to conform to the educational and behavioral standards established for all students at Pleasant Valley High School except as differentiated in the IEP. Students should be:

Course Grading:
This is a PASS/FAIL class. A pass is 100-70% and a fail is 69% or below.
