Course Description: This course if for the student with one year of prior Japanese language experience. We will focus on language acquisition and proficiency development through the five C's (Communication, Cultures, Connections, Comparisons, and Communities) of National Foreign Language Standards through reading, writing, speaking, listening and viewing in the target language.

 

Students will be able to:

  • Read and write an additional 100 kanji.
  • Read and write a variety of new text types including diary entries, letters, emails, informational paragraphs, etc.
  • Express additional structures including permission, prohibition, instruction, requesting and comparing.
  • Relate language learning to the Foreign Language Culture Triangle (Products, Practices and Perspectives).

In Japanese II we expand on what we learned in Japanese I. We talk about topics relevant to students like school rules, driving, and eating out! We learn more kanji and vocabulary.
