Course Description: This course if for the student with two prior years of Japanese language experience or outside language experience (to be determined by a placement test). We will focus on language acquisition and proficiency development through the five C's (Communication, Cultures, Connections, Comparisons, and Communities) of National Foreign Language Standards through reading, writing, speaking, listening and viewing in the target language.

 

Students will be able to:

Read and write an additional 125 kanji.

Read and write a variety of new text types including formal and informal letters, blog, review, instructional communication (such as a recipe), informational writing such as a travel guide, etc. 

Express themselves and interact in conversation and writing in a more sophisticated manner with emphasis on register and tone.
