Course Description: This course if for the student with three or more years of prior Japanese language experience. Because this course is actually three different courses, students enrolled each course may have different requirements on assignments in the same unit in order to prepare for the IB or AP test. We will focus on language acquisition and proficiency development through the five C's (Communication, Cultures, Connections, Comparisons, and Communities) of National Foreign Language Standards through reading, writing, speaking, listening and viewing in the target language.

IB topics to be covered: CORE (communication and media, global issues, social relationships) OPTIONS (customs and traditions, leisure, and health).  Internal (required) assessments will be given over both semesters. Students will take periodic practice test segments as well.
