California Wine Grape Growers Foundation

In 1999, the California Wine Grape Growers Foundation was created to continue the scholarship program begun by the California association of Winegrape Growers with the purpose of providing financial assistance to students who may not otherwise have the opportunity to pursue a higher education and to honor the hard work of the men and women who help produce the highest quality winegrapes. At least two four-year scholarships worth $8,000 each and four two-year scholarships worth $2,000 each will be awarded to qualifying students in 2018. Students may study the subject of their choice at any campus within the University of California system California State University system or California Community College system. Please apply at www.cwag.org  
 
 
Deadline:  Applications must be postmarked no later than March 8, 2019

Tri Counties Bank Scholarship Program

 Tri Counties Bank Scholarship Fund

 
Tri Counies Bank has partnered with Shasta Regional Community Foundation and is committed
to providing meaningful college scholarships to deserving low to moderate income students in the
Bank's footprint, as well as to other students in the communities we serve. The Bank has established
an endowment through the Shasta Regional Community foundation to help sustain this important
service, and provides additional funding totaling over $100,000 each year for scholarships for
college-bound youth (both for Community College and 4-Year Public and Private Institutions.
. A key element of fulfilling the Bank's mission is to invest in community-minded and intellectually
gifted students, which will in turn strengthen our communities.
 
We encourage applications from talented college-bound high school seniors who demonstrate a keen
interest in public service, community engagement and business entrepreneurship. 
 
Applications are now being accepted.

Safe Credit Union

Safe Credit Union is pleased to announce it will be offering a $1000.00 to a graduating senior. Qualified applicants must have a grade point average of 3.0 or above.  All applications will be selected based on the following criteria:
  1.  Completed application
  2.  Academic achievement
  3.  Financial need
  4.  Quality of composition
  5.  Letters of recommendation
  6.  Community involvement

13th District PTA

District 13 PTA Graduating High School Senior Scholarship - This scholarship rewards high school seniors for volunteer service in the school and community.  Student must be a member of PTA/PTSA and have two letters of recommendation and an essay.  Applications are available in the counseling office. Deadline is March 29, 2019.

Bridging the Gap for Breast Cancer Fund

This scholarship is available to graduating high school seniors who reside in Butte, Glenn, & Tehama Counties and have lost a parent or sibling to Breast Cancer or who currently have a parent or sibling in treatment for Breast Cancer.  The $3000 award is intended to be used during the traditional academic year, for academic purposes such as tuition, fees, and/or books and for students who plan to attend any accredited College, University or Trade School. .

Beale Officers' Spouses Club

Applicant must be a dependent family member of one of the following:
 
  •   An active duty or reserve military member (Officer or Enlisted) assigned to Beal Air Force Base, or on a remote assignment with family members residing in Yuba, Sutter, Nevada, Placer, or Butte County..
  •   A retired U.S. military member residing in Yuba, Sutter, Nevada, Placer, or Butte County.
  •   A deceased U.S. military member. Applicant must reside in Yuba, Sutter, Nevada, Placer, or Butte County.

California State Retirees Chapter 14

2019 Scholarship Qualifications:
 
1. Be a relative of a present or retired State Employee.
 
2. Be a full time enrolled student; with a financial need.
 
3. Have an a good academic standing and provide a transcript
 
4. Write a one page summary of your life goals and be available to speak at a Chapter 14/Sub-Chapter meeting.

Sons and Daughters of Italy Vincenzo Bellini Lodge #2519

  High School Seniors who are of Italian descent and will be enrolled in an accredited college or university. This scholarship requires two letters of recommendation and a personal letter about your future career, past work experience and extra curricular activities.  Please include information about your Italian Heritage , if applicable.  Applications with more information are available in the Counseling Office.  Deadline is April 21, 21019

Soroptimist Violet Richardson Award

The Violet Richardson Award recognizes young women who make the community and world a better place through volunteer efforts such as fighting drugs, crime and violence, cleaning up the environment, and working to end discrimination and poverty. Volunteer actions that benefit women and girls are of particular interest.  Winning applicant will receive $500.00 and $500.00 will go to the organization where she volunteers.
 
Requirements:
  • 14-17 Years of Age
  • Demonstrates initiative in both identifying a problem and solving it
  • Has significant and noteworthy accomplishments as a volunteer

The Italian Catholic Federation offers scholarships to Roman Catholic graduating seniors of Italian descent who have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.2 or higher.

BUTTE COUNTY FARM BUREAU

 
Qualifying graduating seniors must be living in or attending a school in Butte County, planning on majoring in Agriculture or closely related subject, have a cumulative 3.0 GPA or higher and submit an application and all required information to Butte County Farm Bureau by March 29th, 2019.  Application available online or stop by the Counseling Office for more information.  
 
Applications are due, in the Butte County Farm Bureau office, by Thursday, March 29th at 4:00 pm, and should be hand delivered or mailed.  (Postmarks will not be accepted)

California Women for Agriculture
