2019 Scholarship Qualifications:
 
1. Be a relative of a present or retired State Employee.
 
2. Be a full time enrolled student; with a financial need.
 
3. Have an a good academic standing and provide a transcript
 
4. Write a one page summary of your life goals and be available to speak at a Chapter 14/Sub-Chapter meeting.

CHICO STATE WILDCAT SCHOLARSHIPS

 Students applying to California State Univeristy, Chico!!
 
California State University, Chico provides opportunities for scholarship awards to eligible students.  New and continuing students are encouraged to apply by submitting the online Wildcat Scholarship Applications.  Scholarships are based on any or all of the following criteria:
  • Educational and career objectives
  • Scholastic achievements
  • Financial need
  • Involvement in school or community service
  • Active affiliation with clubs and organizations
  • Special qualifications (talent, obstacles overcome, relationships)
Minimum Criteria
  • Fall 2019 admissions application submitted
  • High school GPA of 3.5, and
  • 1200 total SAT I Reasoning Test score (includes verbal plus mathematics), or a 27 composite ACT score  
  • Candidates must submit the online Wildcat Scholarship Application, and have at least one on-line letter of recommendation submitted on their behalf.
    The 2019-2020 scholarship application opening is Jan 2 through Feb 15th, 2019

    Sierra Pacific Foundation Scholarship

    Sierra Pacific Industries offers this scholarship to dependent children of full-time employees of Sierra Pacific.  Award are given annually. Students awarded must reapply each year to be reconsidered for a scholarship. Must attend an accredited college, university or trade school. Applications are available online at www.spi-ind.com/Foundation beginning December 15th.  Deadline is the last Friday in February.

    Chico Unified Teachers Association (CUTA) - Dependents of CUTA Members

    Dependents of CUTA Members.  Any graduating high school senior whose parent(s) is currently an active member of CUTA is eligible to apply for a Dependent Scholarship.  It is not necessary that the recipient be graduating from a CUSD high school.

    Recipents are selected by the CUTA Scholarship Committee. Completed applications for CUTA Dependent scholarships must be returned to the CUTA office by 5:00 p.m. on March 15, 2019  Applications not submitted to the CUTA office by that time and date cannot be considered for receipt of a scholarship.

    Chico Unified Teachers Association (CUTA) - CUSD Graduating Seniors

    The CUTA "At Large" scholarships are available to any graduating senior in the Chico Unified School District, including dependents of CUTA members.  Your financial information is part of the criteria considered for selection of this scholarship.  Your application is confidential and only members of the selection committee will see this information. You will be placed in one of five categories:  great need, considerable need, moderate need, some need, little of or no need.  If no financial info is provided, you will be placed in the"little or no need" category.

    Applicant must be a dependent family member of one of the following:
     
    •   An active duty or reserve military member (Officer or Enlisted) assigned to Beal Air Force Base, or on a remote assignment with family members residing in Yuba, Sutter, Nevada, Placer, or Butte County..
    •   A retired U.S. military member residing in Yuba, Sutter, Nevada, Placer, or Butte County.

    eQuality Scholarship Collaborative

    eQuality Scholarship Collaborative is please to announce its 30th annual scholarship program supporting service to the LGBT+ community.  Applicants for the high school scholarship must:
    • be a resident of northern or central California;
    • have completed or complete high school or equivalent between 1 July 2014 and 30 June 2019 and;
    • plan to attend or have begun attending an accredited post-secondary institution.

    California Wine Grape Growers Foundation

    In 1999, the California Wine Grape Growers Foundation was created to continue the scholarship program begun by the California association of Winegrape Growers with the purpose of providing financial assistance to students who may not otherwise have the opportunity to pursue a higher education and to honor the hard work of the men and women who help produce the highest quality winegrapes. At least two four-year scholarships worth $8,000 each and four two-year scholarships worth $2,000 each will be awarded to qualifying students in 2018. Students may study the subject of their choice at any campus within the University of California system California State University system or California Community College system.     Soroptimist Violet Richardson Award

    The Violet Richardson Award recognizes young women who make the community and world a better place through volunteer efforts such as fighting drugs, crime and violence, cleaning up the environment, and working to end discrimination and poverty. Volunteer actions that benefit women and girls are of particular interest.  Winning applicant will receive $500.00 and $500.00 will go to the organization where she volunteers.
     
    Requirements:
    • 14-17 Years of Age
    • Demonstrates initiative in both identifying a problem and solving it
    • Has significant and noteworthy accomplishments as a volunteer

    Chico Elks Ladies Lodge #423

    Chico Elks Ladies Lodge is accepting applications for graduating seniors that have a parent/step parent, aunt/uncle, grandparent or great grandparent who is a member of the Chico Elks Lodge #423 in good standing.  Applicants may attend any accredited university, community college or trade/technical school.  Stop by the PVHS Counseling Office to pick up an application.  Application Deadline is February 28th, 2019
